Who We Are
We are a mobile research + curatorial platform and art consultancy dedicated to the promotion of artists and scholarship with lineages that trace to West Asia, North Africa and their diasporas in Washington, D.C. and beyond.
Building on the rich history of artists from the region calling Washington home since the 1940s, Art West Asia seeks to illuminate the rich history and contemporary contributions of artists from the region through partnerships, programs and exhibitions.
Laila Abdul-Hadi Jadallah is a season arts administrator, curator and researcher with nearly 20 years of experience working in museums, local and international governmental entities and non-profit cultural spaces on major exhibitions and programs, festivals, public art projects and more.
Over her nearly 20 year career Laila, has worked with some of the most celebrated established and emerging artists from the region and numerous institutions including BBF Bank, Chicago History Museum, Doha Film Institute, Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, D.C., Hamiltonian Artists, International Arts & Artists, IA&A at Hillyer, the Middle East Institute Arts and Culture Center, National Building Museum, Qatar Airways, Qatar Museums, National Museum of Asian Art, and the U.S. Embassy in Doha and more.
